Day 2: Cu Chi Tunnels & City Tour (B)
Back to Ho Chi Minh city. Afternoon, we take a half-day of city tour to visit all the famous sites of this bustling city. The first destination is the Reunification Palace, followed by some French colonial structures including the Old Saigon Post Office & Notre Dame Cathedral.
After visiting the Jade Emperor Pagoda, we continue our trip to the bustling Ben Thanh Market, which is firstly well-known as the place for real Vietnamese food. There are many vendors and food stalls in the market food section that offers guests many freshly delicious dishes. You also can find any goods for daily use as well as a variety of eye-catching local handicrafts, souvenirs here. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.
Day 3: Ho Chi Minh – My Tho (full-day) (B)
Back to Ho Chi Minh city in the afternoon. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.
Day 4: Ho Chi Minh – Danang – Hoi An (flight) (B)
On arrival at Danang airport meet and transfer to Hoi An on the way stop to visit the Marble Mountain. Arrive in Hoi An. Check into your hotel.
Day 5: Hoi An Ancient Town (B)
A half-day city tour to explore the historic town which was used to be a prosperous seaport city during the 16th to 18th centuries. Visit Hoi An market, Tan Ky old house, the Japanese Covered Bridge and the Fujian Assembly Hall.
Free time for shopping, relaxation… Overnight in Hoian.
Day 6: Hoi An Free Time (B)
Day 7: Hoi An – Hue (B)
Afternoon, visit Hue Royal Citadel and Dong Ba market. Overnight in Hue.
Day 8: Explore Hue City (B)
Day 9: Hue - Hanoi (Flight) - Lao Cai (night train) (B)
Meet and transfer to Hanoi town for a city tour. Visit Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple, Tran Quoc Pagoda, the Museum of Arts.
After dinnertime, transfer to the train station for a night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on train
(4-berth cabin, soft sleeper, shared-cabin – Private cabin available if request).
Day 10: Lao Cai – Sapa, Lao Cai-Tavan Villages (B)
This morning, you’ll do a trekking tour to Lao Chai & Tavan villages which are the living areas of Black H’mong and Dzay people. Here you will enjoy the fresh air, see terraced rice fields, farmers working with their water buffaloes… Here we will discover their daily life and how they make their traditional clothes, handicrafts, indigo… After the Lao Chai village, we walk to Ta Van, a village of Dzay people. It is a small group of ethnic people living in Vietnam, they still preserve their traditional culture. Back to Sapa in the afternoon. Overnight in Sapa.
Day 11: Sapa, local market – Hanoi (night train) (B)
Time to visit the market, enjoy local food & specialties (on your own account)… You’ll have a chance to visit an ethnic minority village (depending on the market we visit this day).
Afternoon, transfer back to Lao Cai train station for a night train to Hanoi (4-berth cabin, soft sleeper, shared-cabin – Private cabin available if request).
Day 12: Hanoi – Hoa Binh, Mai Chau (B)
03H30 – Depart to Mai Chau town (Hoa Binh province). This scenic drive takes around three hours. Along the way, we pass by tapioca and sugar cane plantations as well as rice fields. Check into a traditional stilt-house of the Thai people situated in a picturesque valley.
After lunch, we begin our trekking. The verdant and rugged mountain scenery combined with the colorful local population makes this an unforgettable experience. Today we walk along gravel tracks and small paths used by the locals. Back to the town. Overnight in Mai Chau.
Day 13: Mai Chau – Ninh Binh (B)
8H00 – we have a 03-hour drive (110km South) to the city of Ninh Binh, also known as the “Halong Bay on land” and the Ancient Capital.
It will be an exciting day highlighted, by a 2,5-hour boat ride in a local rowing boat down the Tam Coc streams enjoying spectacular scenery surrounded by rice paddies and towering limestone mountain peaks.
Visit Bai Dinh pagoda, one of the biggest pagodas in Vietnam. Overnight in Ninh Binh.
Day 14: Ninh Binh – Ha Long (B,L,D)
11h30-12h00: Arrive at the harbor. Welcome and transfer to the cruise ship. Briefing about the itinerary, safety instructions and check-in cabin.
Enjoy seafood lunch served on board.
You will visit a floating fishing village. Contemplate beautiful landscape with thousands of islands of different shapes and sizes.
Time for relaxing on the deck, kayaking (on your own account) & swimming (if time permits).
Cooking demonstration in the dining room.
Enjoy dinner served on board.
Overnight onboard (Non-private cruise ship).

Day 15: Halong – Hanoi (B,Brunch)
Enjoy sunrise over the Bay from the sundeck.
Then have a light breakfast: cakes, coffee, tea… Relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Then visit a beautiful cave in Halong Bay. Check out cabins – Luggage collection.
The cruise ship returns to the wharf while you have brunch served on board.

12:00 Return to Hanoi by private car. Free time to explore the Old Quarter. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 16: Hanoi – Departure (B)
