Vietnam Visa Exemption Extension:
Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, it was possible to extend the Vietnam visa exemption while in Vietnam. However, currently, this option is no longer available.
For those who wish to stay in Vietnam for a longer duration than allowed by the exemption, there are two options:
- Exit Vietnam when the exemption duration ends and travel to a neighboring country such as Thailand, Cambodia, or Laos. Afterward, return to Vietnam and avail a new visa exemption.
- Apply for a 90-day Vietnam E-visa.
