Day 1: Luang Prabang welcomes you

Arrive at Luang Prabang, transfer to your hotel.

In the afternoon, drive to town for a brief city tour: visit the Former Royal Palace (now the National Museum), Wat Xieng Thong, Wat Sen, Wat Visun. End the day with a memorable sunset from the top of Mount Phou Si. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 2: Luang Prabang – Pak Ou caves (B)

Take a boat trip on the mighty Mekong River to explore the local villages at Ban Xiengmene and Ban Chan. Continue visiting the royal temple at Wat Longkhoun, which once belonged to the royal family and nearby Sackarine Caves and continue cruising to Pak Ou cave.

Explore the caves and cross the Mekong River at Ban Ou for lunch at a local restaurant. Return by road to Luang Prabang. Stop en route at Ban Xang Hai, where the residents create a unique rice wine called Lao Lao and continue to typical Lao villages at Ban Xangkhong and Ban Xienglek, well known for its handmade Jute Sar paper. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 3: Luang Prabang - Vientiane (Flight) (B)

After breakfast, visit Luang Prabang Market and several shops selling antiques and silver jewelry made by mountain tribes. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Vientiane.

Upon arrival in Vientiane, take a city tour to visit the religious museum at Wat Sisaket, where thousands of statues of Buddha in wood, bronze, and stone are displayed. The tour also includes Wat Pra Keo, the original home of the Emerald Buddha and the 16th century That Luang Golden Stupa. The day ends with viewing the sunset along the banks of the Mekong River. Overnight in Vientiane.

Day 4: Vientiane – Laksao – Vinh (Vietnam) (B)

Take a full-day scenic drive to the Laksao border crossing for entry into Vietnam (Immigration formalities will be prepared before arriving at the border gate). Drive to Vinh City, Vietnam and transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Vinh.

Day 5: Vinh – Ninh Binh (B)

After breakfast, continue driving to Ninh Binh, en route passing rice paddies and small villages. Upon arrival in Ninh Binh, transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Ninh Binh.

Day 6: Explore Ninh Binh (B)

Morning drive to Kenh Ga, a secluded floating village with a dramatic backdrop of limestone cliffs. Travel through the village by boat witnessing scenes of children going to school and fishermen’s daily life along the riverfront.

In the afternoon, take a boat trip to visit Trang An Landscape Complex which is a World Mixed Heritage site of Vietnam. Overnight in Ninh Binh.

Ninh Binh – Halong Bay (B,L,D)

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Ha Long bay – the very famous World Natural heritage site.

11h30: Arrive at the harbor. Welcome and transfer to the cruise ship. Briefing about the itinerary, safety instructions and check-in cabin. Enjoy a seafood lunch served on board.

You will visit a floating fishing village. Contemplate beautiful landscape with thousands of islands of different shapes and sizes. Time for relaxing on the deck or try kayaking (on your own account) & swimming (if time permits). Enjoy a dinner served on board. Overnight on board.

Day 8: Halong Bay – Hanoi (B,Brunch)

Enjoy sunrise over the Bay.

Then have a light breakfast: cakes, coffee, tea… Relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Then visit a beautiful cave in Halong Bay.  Check out cabins – Luggage collection.

The cruise ship returns to the wharf while you have brunch served on board.

Back to the pier. Return to Hanoi by car. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 9: Explore Hanoi capital (B)

A full-day tour to explore the architecture and history of Hanoi capital.

In the morning, visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex containing the Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh’s former home and the One-Pillar Pagoda followed by the Temple of Literature.

In the afternoon, visit the Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts, Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple. A one-hour “cyclo” tour of Hanoi’s Old Quarter is a relaxing way to end the day. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 10: Hanoi – departure (B)

Free time for shopping or further exploration… Transfer to Noi Bai International Airport for departure your flight. End of service.
