Day 1: Hanoi arrival

Our tour guide will welcome you at Noi Bai airport and transfer to hotel for check-in (Check-in time: 14h00 / Early check-in is subjected to availability).

Free time at leisure. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: City Hanoi – Lao Cai (Night train) (B)

After breakfast, visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (except Mondays and Fridays); Ho Chi Minh’s house o­n stilts, the One-Pillar Pagoda – an important symbol for Hanoians; the Temple of Literature – the first University of Vietnam; the Ethnology Museum; Hoa Lo Prison.

Evening: transfer to Hanoi train station to take a night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on train (04-berth cabin with soft sleepers, non-private cabin).

Day 3: Lao Cai – Sapa – Fansipan Peak (by cable car) (B)

The train will arrive in Lao Cai around 5h00AM. Transfer to Sapa town. Have breakfast and take a short rest. Transfer to the Cable Car Station and spend 20 minutes with cable car to enjoy the spectacular scenery. We continue climbing over 600 steps to the peak. The Fansipan is known as the “Roof of Indochina” (3,143 meters).

Then come back to Cable Car Station and return to Sapa town.

Afternoon, visit Ham Rong Mountain, San May (Terrace of clouds), Orchids Garden (depending on the season).  Overnight in Sapa.

Day 4: Sapa – Ban Ho – Thanh Phu – Sin Chai (B)

After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to Ban Ho. We will trek through the scenic valley of “Ban Ho”. This is a village of Tay ethnic minority. Then we continue walking to Thanh Phu village where your lunch will be provided in a local house.

After lunchtime, you head to Sin Chai village of Red Dao people. Dinner and overnight at the village.

Day 5: Sin Chai – Nam Nhiu – My Son – Nam Toong – Sapa (B)

After breakfast, we start our day by walking downhill toward the My Son village which is inhabited by the Xafo ethnic minority, one of the smallest ethnic groups in Northern Vietnam. After 1,5- hour walk to the Red Dao village of Nam Toong, stop for lunch.

In the afternoon, we continue our trip towards Ban Ho village where it will be possible to take a swim. Please check your guide’s advice before jumping on the water. Then our vehicle will transfer you back to Sapa from ban Ho.

Note: Hiking and village visiting ( 05 hours )

Evening free time for relaxation, massage or Red Dzao herbal bath (on guest’s own account). Overnight in Sapa.

Day 6: Sapa – Local market (Homestay overnight) (B)

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Bac Ha to visit Bac Ha market (110km from Sapa) which takes place every Sunday morning. It is one of the biggest and most colorful markets in the Northwest of Vietnam where you can meet all the minority groups: Flower Hmong, Tay, Thai, Dzao, Xa pho… Take time to explore the market, to try local specialties…

Enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch, visit Ban Pho village, take a short walk around the village to explore the daily life of some minorities such as Flower H’Mong, Tay, Nung and visit H’mong King palace (Hoang A Tuong Castle). Overnight at Homestay.

Day 7: Bac Ha – Ha Giang (app 220km) (B)

After an early breakfast, transfer to Ha Giang city via Xin Man and Hoang Su Phi – a stunning scenery along the zigzag road. Stopovers on the way to take photos of splendid landscape: rice terraces, pass… Some parts of the road might be difficult to travel. Check into a hotel in Ha Giang.

Note: During the rainy season (May to September), this road can be bad and impossible to ride.

Day 8: Ha Giang – Heaven Gate – Extreme North Pole (Lung Cu) (app 175km) (B)

After breakfast, drive to the Extreme North Pole. Photo stop at Quan Ba Heaven Gate from where you can see Tam Son Valley (Three-Mountain valley), Fairy Mountains.

Visit H’Mong King Palace on the way. Lunch at a local restaurant.

Transfer to Lung Cu flag tower. Visit the flag tower. The view from there is outstanding with rice paddy fields, zigzag roads, villages…

Back to Dong Van town for hotel check-in. Overnight at hotel in Dong Van.

Day 9: Dong Van city tour – Cao Bang (app 210km) (B)

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Cao Bang city via Meo Vac, Bao Lac towns. Photo-stop at Ma Pi Leng Pass – the most spectacular pass of Vietnam.

Have lunch at a local restaurant in Bao Lac town. Arrive in Cao Bang city, check into a hotel. Overnight in Cao Bang.

Day 10: Ban Gioc waterfall – Lang Son (app 190km) (B)

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Ban Gioc waterfall with beautiful landscape along the road. This picturesque waterfall is 53 meters high and has an impressive span of 300 meters

Have lunch at a restaurant near the waterfall.

Visit Nguom Ngao cave. Drive to Lang Son city. Overnight at hotel in Lang Son.

Day 11: Lang Son City – Halong Bay (app 190km) (B,L,D)

6h30AM: Hotel check-out then drive to Halong Bay – the most famous Natural World Heritage site of Vietnam recognized 02 times by the UNESCO in 1993 and 2000.

11h30-12h00: Arrive at the harbor. Welcome and transfer to the cruise ship. Briefing about the itinerary, safety instructions and check-in cabin.

Enjoy seafood lunch served on board.

You will visit a floating fishing village. Contemplate beautiful landscape with thousands of islands of different shapes and sizes.

Time for relaxing on the deck, kayaking (on your own account) & swimming (if time permits).

Cooking demonstration in the dining room.

Enjoy dinner served on board.

Overnight onboard (Non-private cruise ship).

Day 12: Halong Bay cruise – Ninh Binh (B,Brunch)

Enjoy sunrise over the Bay from the sundeck.

Then have a light breakfast: cakes, coffee, tea… Relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Then visit a beautiful cave in Halong Bay. Check out cabins – Luggage collection.

The cruise ship returns to the wharf while you have brunch served on board.

11h30: Leave Halong city to depart to Ninh Binh city. Upon arrival, check into a hotel. Overnight in Ninh Binh.

Day 13: Trang An & Bai Dinh pagoda (B)

Breakfast at hotel. Morning, visit Bai Dinh pagoda complex, the largest pagoda in Vietnam. It’s

well-known with 500 stone statues of Arhats and giants bronze bells.

Visit Mua cave after climbing around 500 steps to the top. Enjoy the spectacular view of Tam Coc, Ngo Dong River from the viewpoints. Overnight at hotel in Ninh Binh.

Have lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon, visit Trang An Landscape Complex by taking a rowing boat trip (~2,5 hours) to visit this beautiful site including some beautiful grottoes such as Hang Toi, Hang Sang, Nau Ruou…

Overnight in Ninh Binh.

Day 14: Ninh Binh – Hanoi (B)

Breakfast at hotel. Morning free time for relaxation or take a bike ride in the surrounding area (fee not included)…

Afternoon, drive to Hanoi. Check into a hotel. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 15: Hanoi – Free day at leisure (B)

Free time for relaxation, shopping, personal visit. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 16: Hanoi - Departure (B)

Free time until transfer to Noi Bai airport for your departure flight.
