Day 1: Hanoi capital welcomes you

Welcome at the airport, transfer to hotel. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi city tour & Cooking class (B,D)

After breakfast, city tour visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, One Pillar pagoda, House on stilts, the Temple of literature, Ngoc Son temple, Dong Xuan market.

Visit a family in Hanoi and join cooking with host, having dinner. Enjoy the water puppet show in the evening. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi – Hoa Binh (B,L,D)

After breakfast, excursion to Hoa Binh town then Ba Cap port for cruising on Song Da river, enjoy the verdant rice fields, the fresh air of the mountains, clear stream and spectacular Da river. The beauty of Hoa Binh Hydroelectric area on Da River is considered as “The Halong Bay on the mountain”. Visit Thung Nai then Ngoi Hoa villages.

While traveling to the villages, visitors can experience the beauty created between nature and the local culture of the Muong people through their daily activities – the sound of gongs, their Mo Muong folk songs and their local markets in the rural areas.

Arriving at the Ngoi Hoa village, you will fall in love right away with this beautiful island. The landscape is very beautiful as a watercolor painting. The view over the islands and the ‘Bay’ is splendid. On moon-full day, the whole river appears as a gold inlay pictures.

Check into the homestay, you will have the chance to stay in a stilt-house which is clean and comfortable. You will have the chance to learn the Vietnamese cooking way with the chief and enjoy your dinner. Overnight on house-on-stilts.

Day 4: Ngoa Hoa village (B,L,D)

When the sun’s rays first appear in the morning, the sound of birds singing far away and the wind whistling through the trees can wake you up, enjoy the fresh air of the island.

Let’s have real experience in the very early morning with local people and do some activities such as boat trip to the fishing area to know how a local people harvest fish, kayaking to welcome sun raising from the mountain or simply sitting on the house-on-stilts to enjoy the peaceful and quiet atmosphere of the nature in the northern mountains. Soft trekking to explore the island or doing kayaking on Da River…

You will have a chance to learn cooking some Vietnamese dishes with the chief and enjoy delicious food. Overnight on house-on-stilts.

Day 5: Hoa Binh – Mai Chau (B)

After breakfast, cruising back to Hoa Binh town. On the way back, visit the temple of Ba Chua Thac Bo, a deity who protects farmers and makes sure they have enough water for their fields.

Transfer to Mai Chau, check into a homestay. Biking tour in the late afternoon to visit surrounding villages. Overnight in Mai Chau.

Day 6: Mai Chau – Ninh Binh (B)

After breakfast, exploring the daily life of local people in the area.

Afternoon, transfer to Ninh Binh city, check into a hotel. Overnight in Ninh Binh.

Day 7: Trang An Landscape Complex & Bai Dinh pagoda (B)

After breakfast, we visit Bai Dinh Pagoda, one of the biggest pagodas in Vietnam.

After that,  transfer to Trang An Landscape complex recognized as a World Mixed Heritage site by UNESCO. Take a boat trip to visit this landscape. You will have a new experience when you get on a small sampan and follow the waterway to visit “Halong on land”, the very waterway is made by the sky, cloud, mountain, tropical plants… Trang An Landscape Complex is so beautiful with hundreds of islets rising from the clear water.

The boat trip will take about 2,5 or 3 hours, we will row through the temples and some caves: Dark cave (200m long), Three-Drop cave (250m long), Treo cave (100m long)… We will have a deep impression when we row through the Dark cave to get the other side of the mountain.

Time for your lunch. Then visit the Mua cave which requires a climb nearly 500 stairs but you’ll see that its scenic viewpoint deserves your try. Overnight in Ninh Binh.

Day 8: Ninh Binh – Halong (B,L,D)

After breakfast, transfer to Halong – the most famous Natural World Heritage site of Vietnam recognized 02 times by the UNESCO in 1993 and in 2000.

11h30-12h00: Arrive at the harbor. Welcome and transfer to the cruise ship. Briefing about the itinerary, safety instructions and check-in cabin.

Enjoy seafood lunch served on board.

You will visit a floating fishing village. Contemplate beautiful landscape with thousands of islands of different shapes and sizes.

Time for relaxing on the deck, kayaking (on your own account) & swimming (if time permits).

Cooking demonstration in the dining room. Enjoy dinner served on board. Overnight onboard (Non-private cruise ship).

Day 9: Halong – Cat Ba – Monkey island (B,Brunch)

Breakfast on board. Continue the cruise through Ha Long Bay and contemplate Man’s head islet, Tortoise islet… Back to Tuan Chau harbor and transfer to Cat Ba island by ferry. Visit Cat Ba National park. After visiting the park, take a speed boat to Monkey Island. Check-in and overnight on the island.

Day 10: Monkey Island (B)

Spend your relaxing day on the wild beach with some activities such as kayak to the other side of the island, or just soaking in the clear clean water; sunbathing while listening to the sound of the waves… or playing beach football or volleyball; reading your favorite book on the peaceful private beach; playing table tennis, billiard in the club… Overnight on the island.

Day 11: Cat Ba – Halong - Hanoi – Lao Cai (night train) (B)

After breakfast, take a speed boat to Cat Ba island, then transfer to the ferry pier to take a ferry back to Tuan Chau pier. Your bus waits for you here. Drive to Hanoi.

Time for shopping, personal visit…

Evening, transfer to the Hanoi train station for your night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on the train (4-berth sharing cabin with A/C).

Day 12: Lao Chai – Tavan (B)

The train will arrive at Lao Cai train station in the early morning. Transfer to Sapa town by bus.

After having breakfast, start your soft trekking day.

Take a jeep ride for the first part and go downhill to the valley. Cross Muong Hoa River to get to the other mountainside for 3 villages of the H’mong and the Dzay people. Stay the night at a local family in Tavan village.

Day 13: Tavan – Ban Ho - Sapa (B)

Breakfast and leave the family for the next village. Visit the Red Dzao in Giang Ta Chai village by a way of terraced paddy fields and bamboo forests. Enjoy the natural beauty of the Silver Waterfall and the Rattan Bridge. Cross the river and continue going to BanHo village where the Tay people settle down. On the way to Ban Ho, there is a chance to see the Red Dzao and the Black H’Mong people in Supan village. Back to Sapa for overnight.

Note: 7-hour trekking, 18 km, 3 villages.

Day 14: Sapa – Bac Ha market – Hanoi (B)

After breakfast, excursion to Bac Ha. Visit Bac Ha market (held on every Sunday) – one of the most typical markets of the minority people in this mountainous region. Every Sunday, people of Hmong, Red Dzao, Zay travel a distance of tens of km over the mountain, hills to reach the market.

We can find everything here: accessories, food, wine, rice, clothes, souvenirs and especially there is a section for trading buffaloes, horses, dogs, cats… People come here not only for trades, but the market is also considered as a place for their social needs (meetings, chatting, making friends…).

Afternoon, drive back to the Lao Cai train station for night train to Hanoi. Overnight on the train (4-berth sharing cabin with A/C).

Day 15: Hanoi – Phu Quoc Island (Flight) (B)

Free time until transfer to the airport for flight to Phu Quoc island. Upon arrival, pick-up and transfer to the resort for check-in. Overnight in Phu Quoc.

Day 16: Phu Quoc Island (B)

8h30 am – Pick-up at the resort, move to An Thoi harbor, get on a boat – try fishing with fisherman. Enjoy the fresh air of the ocean – It is a great time for the snorkeling at Dam islet & Mui Ong Doi with amazing scenery under the water.

Lunch on board, then cruising to Sao Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Phu Quoc. Enjoy a sea bath, sunbath at the Sao Beach then back to your hotel. Overnight in Phu Quoc.

Day 17: Phu Quoc Island (B)

Free at leisure to enjoy the beach or visit the island. Overnight in Phu Quoc.

Day 18: Phu Quoc - Ho Chi Minh city/Hanoi – Departure (B)

After breakfast, transfer to airport for departure flight.
