Meet on arrival in Ho Chi Minh City / Tan Son Nhat International Airport. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Depart from your hotel for Cu Chi tunnels. Another name of Cu Chi is “Steel land”. It’s where the army troops of the Vietnamese soldiers concealed themselves during the Vietnam war.

Arrive at Cu Chi Tunnels and proceed to an underground hut to watch a short documentary video and presentation about Cu Chi Tunnels during the wartime. Afterward, you will have a soft walk into the jungle to visit the bomb craters, the countless traps, the secret entrance, the fighting bunkers, the air ventilation and the constructed living areas.

For those interested, there is a chance to fire off an AK47, M16, Garand… with real bullets at the shooting range (on your own account). Furthermore, you can witness the rice-paper (spring roll skin) as well as the rice-wine production line and you can even try to go through the actual tunnel. Then, you will gather together to taste the steamed tapioca root which is the main staple food in Cu Chi during the war.

Drive back to Ho Chi Minh city. You’ll visit: the Chinatown, Thien Hau Pagoda, the History Museum and quick photo-stop at the Reunification Palace. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

08h00AM:  We depart from Ho Chi Minh City to My Tho city (Mekong delta).

A smooth 1,5-hour bus ride passing the green rice fields leads you to the beautiful rural My Tho city.

Embark on a boat on the Mekong river. Visit fisherman’s wharf and see 4 islands: Dragon, Unicorn, Turtle, Phoenix. Stop at Thoi Son island (Unicorn) to taste tropical fruit while you are listening to the sound of “Southern Vietnamese folk music” performed by the islanders. Visit an orchid garden.

Visit a coconut candy workshop, a famous specialty of Ben Tre province. Transfer to Ben Tre by boat. Take a short walk on village roads to explore the daily life of local people.

Then visit a family size honey bee farm and enjoy honey tea. You’ll take a rowing boat trip on Vam Chua arroyo. Visit a rice paper production workshop and back to My Tho pier.

Drive back to Ho Chi Minh city. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.

After breakfast, transfer to airport for a flight to the central port city of Danang. On arrival at Danang airport meet and transfer to Hoi An on the way stop to visit Marble Mountain and Cham Museum. Lunch at a local restaurant in Danang. Arrive in Hoi An, check into the hotel.

After breakfast at hotel, take a walking tour of the ancient town centre to visit the former merchants’ home, the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge and Hoi An Culture Museum.

Afternoon, enjoy the fishing experience with local fishermen by basket boat and explore the local daily life in Hoian. Overnight in Hoian.

Morning depart to Hue via the Hai Van Tunnel.

In the afternoon, visit the Imperial Citadel from where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled the country between 1802 and 1945. Overnight in Hue.

Begin your day with a boat trip on the romantic Perfume River. Explore Hue’s best-known religious site, Thien Mu Pagoda. Then visit the Imperial Tomb of King Minh Mang.

Afternoon, visit a conical hat and an incense stick making villages.

Cap-off the day with a visit to Dong Ba market before coming back to the hotel. Overnight in Hue.

Morning, transfer to Hue Airport after breakfast for the short flight to Hanoi.

Arrive at Noi Bai airport, transfer to the city center. Visit the Museum of Ethnology.

Afternoon, take a walking tour to visit the Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son temple.

In the evening, enjoy a traditional Vietnamese water puppet show. Overnight in Hanoi.

After breakfast, travel by air-conditioned bus through the Red River Delta to beautiful Ha Long Bay with more than 1,600 islands & islets, which time, wind and waves have sculptured into fantastic shapes.

Upon arrival, embark on your cruise ship. You will enjoy a 5-hour cruise to explore the mystery and beauty of Ha Long Bay. Cruising through the limestone cliffs and emerald waters of Ha Long Bay, giving us the chance to take in the stunning scenery of this World Heritage Site. While onboard we will be served a sumptuous fresh, local seafood lunch.

Return to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.

Morning, join a cooking class to learn Vietnamese cuisine. You’ll visit a local market before arriving at the cooking center. Our chef will lead you through each dish, giving you plenty of opportunities to get involved and try your hand at reproducing the flavors. Enjoy the dishes you have just prepared. We will also supply you with a recipe booklet containing all the information you need to reproduce an authentic taste back home.

Afternoon, visit the One Pillar Pagoda and Temple of Literature. Overnight in Hanoi.

Full-day free at leisure. Farewell dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Hanoi.

The day is at your leisure for last minute sight-seeing or shopping until transfer to Noi Bai airport for your departure flight.
