Meet on arrival at Noi Bai International Airport and transfer to hotel for check-in at hotel (check-in time at 14h00, early check-in at 12h possible if rooms available).

Breakfast at the hotel, take a short tour to visit:  the One-Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature and walking tour around the Hanoi Old Quarter to discover the very famous “36 Guild Streets”.

After lunch, transfer to Halong Bay – the most famous World Natural Heritage site of Vietnam recognized by the UNESCO in 1993. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. Evening, free at leisure. Overnight at a hotel in Halong city.

Night activities: visit the night market where you can find typical souvenirs of Vietnam or enjoy street seafood, drink some local beer (your own payment), enjoy the atmosphere of the beach city…

Visit Heaven Palace – Driftwood (Thiên Cung- Đầu Gỗ) Cave. Continue cruising through Halong Bay and pass by numerous beautiful islets: Dog (Hòn Chó Đá), Incense Burner (Hòn Đỉnh Hương), Fighting Cocks (Hòn Gà Chọi)… Enjoy a seafood lunch on board (vegetarian food available, to book in advance).

Back to the mainland then transfer to Hanoi. Free at leisure, overnight in Hanoi.

Night activities: You can enjoy some local beer at a street bar, where the local people gather in the late afternoon for chatting, cheering… a street beer as local people will complete your picture of Saigon by night, no luxury restaurant, no nice designing bar with high chair, no professional service and servers, very noisy, chaos but so exciting and real life.

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Noi Bai airport to take a morning flight to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon).

Welcome and transfer to the downtown. Lunch & check into the hotel.

Afternoon, visit some tourist attractions of the city:

The Reunification Palace was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until April 30, 1975, when the North Vietnamese tanks came crashing through the front gates, bringing the U.S.-Vietnam War to the end.

The Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral was built between 1877 and 1883, and the stones used to create it were exported in its entirety from France (only outside – under renovation).

The Central Post Office was finished in 1891. It is another fine example of French architecture and is Vietnam’s largest post office.

08h00AM:  We depart from Ho Chi Minh City to My Tho city.

A smooth 1,5-hour bus ride passing the green rice fields leads you to the beautiful rural My Tho city.

Embark on a boat to start the cruise on the Mekong River. Visit fisherman’s wharf and see 4 islands: Dragon, Unicorn, Turtle, Phoenix. Stop at Thoi Son island (Unicorn) to taste tropical fruit while you are listening to the sound of “Southern Vietnamese folk music” performed by the islanders. Visit a family size honey bee farm and enjoy honey tea.

Transfer to Ben Tre by boat. Visit a coconut candy workshop, a famous specialty of Ben Tre province. Take a horse cart riding on village roads. You’ll take a rowing boat trip on small arroyos (about 15 minutes) then transfer to the pier. Visit a rice paper production workshop and back to My Tho pier. Lunch at a local restaurant with Vietnamese food (vegetarian meal available). Drive back to Ho Chi Minh city.
